Title: Minimizing Complications In Crestal Sinus Lift With Magnetic Mallet – An Innovative Trail

The predictability of success in implant prosthodontics is dependent on an array of procedures from meticulous diagnostic evaluation to diligence in treatment planning. In challenging clinical scenarios where the bone volume and density is suboptimal, adjunctive surgical procedures alongside implant placement like osseodensification, sinus lift procedures, bone augmentation are utilized. Use of conventional osteotomy or osseodensification drills generate heat resulting in bone necrosis which may lead to complications and impede osseointegration. Traditional chisel and mallet used for sinus lifts have reported to provoke greenstick fracture of the bone with a threat for sinus membrane perforations due to uncontrolled forces which eventually would lead to failures. To overcome these drawbacks of the conventional methods an innovative magnetic mallet device -OSSEOTOUCH, has been introduced based on physical principles of electromagnetism to apply controlled forces on a body while minimizing the time of impact. The control and steadiness of the applied forces make the procedures safe for patients and clinicians. It is meteoric, precise and efficient in bone condensing and can be seen as a competent device for preparing an osteotomy site for implant placement as well as other adjuncts like sinus elevation procedure, extraction of root piece with immediate implant placement and crown removal. This scientific deliberation involves a case series which sheds light on this innovative device with cutting-edge treatment approach.
