Souheil Hussaini, B.D.S., M.S., PhD. 
He has completed his post-graduation [1997] in Prosthodontics, TMD, and Implant Dentistry concurrently with a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from the University of Medicine & Dentistry-New Jersey Dental School-USA. His undergraduate degree [1988] and Ph.D. [2016] were from Annamalai University RM Dental College & Hospital, India. He is currently holding a part-time faculty position as adjunct faculty at Rutgers Dental School-USA. His Master’s research, Ph.D. and registered patent [2021] were in the field of dental implants. His private dental office [2002] is based in Dubai, where he performs implant surgeries and prosthetic treatments. He is the Founder of Implant Dentistry – Study Consortium (ID-SC) [2000], the first ADA approved Dental Implant continuing education course in the Gulf and the Middle East, an affiliate society of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI & its Ambassador for UAE) and the University of Toronto (UoT) with more than 400 graduates up until today. Since 1997 his experience is exclusive in Implant dentistry with most of the implant systems. Presented lectures in the USA (Harvard Univ.), Pennsylvania- Penn Univ., China (Hunan Univ.), and Canada (UoT). Organized socioeconomic activities and dental camps in Erbil, India, Yemen, Sudan, Bangladesh, and Sharjah Central Jail. And published articles in the int. JPD, Implant Dentistry, J prosthodontics.

Title: Dental Implant Diagnostic Index to minimise implant placement complications

Dental Implant Diagnostic Index, “DiDi” is simply a 3D multipurpose device used as a diagnosis template during 1st visit and helps to visualize the ideal implant position as a template that is much more accurate than freehand during 2nd visit of surgery. It also can be used during 3rd visit to outline the tissue during the Uncovery procedure with the minimum mistakes in locating the placed implants and hence less trauma to the soft tissue. This device enables quick and accurate decision-making with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. This template also projects the buccal outline surface of the future maxillary anterior teeth when they are missing.Its stability and design allow for unrestricted tissue reflection, adequate irrigation of the region and enhances the predictability of the implant position. In addition to the corresponding accuracy due to the existence of reference points, the surgical procedure is also accelerated, with a positive impact on post-operative healing. Also, it guides and provide reference points for the accurate placement of more implants next to the previously placed implants. Finally, the main advantage of this device is the elimination of the additional laboratory time/cost required for the fabrication of a new template and the necessary construction of a new working cast to measure the edentulous spaces in horizontal and vertical dimensions to plan the case during the completion of the 1st visit
